(LOS ANGELES, CA – MARCH 13, 2026) Lamb of God’s new album, Into Oblivion (Epic Records) is out now – listen here. The Richmond, VA-born band’s tenth studio album sees them embracing their roots while simultaneously showcasing why they are one of modern metal’s most influential forces.
Release weekend celebrations for Into Oblivion are underway nationwide, with a series of events rolling out across the country.
SiriusXM’s Liquid Metal (Ch. 40), hosted by Jose Mangin, has launched “Lamb of God Into Oblivion Week,” featuring songs from the new album alongside a Randy Blythe takeover that includes a Blythe-curated playlist and interview segments airing throughout the week.
More than 140 independent record stores are hosting listening parties through Sunday, offering exclusive merch, free Lamb of God swag (while supplies last), prizes, and an indie-exclusive, limited edition Poltergeist vinyl variant of the new album. The weekend culminates with the band’s sold-out surprise pop-up show at Philadelphia’s TLA on Sunday night.
In the months leading up to the album’s release, Lamb of God unveiled a series of singles. “Sepsis,” their first new song since 2022, paid homage to the early ‘90s Richmond underground, with Consequence noting the song’s fresh approach, saying “Morton’s riffs are bruising at this slower pace,” and adding that Blythe bellows “like a heavy metal Nick Cave.” “Parasocial Christ” followed, which Revolver dubbed an “anti-tech thrasher.” “Into Oblivion” saw Metal Hammer deem it “ferocious,” and Brooklyn Vegan called it “as much of a gut-punch as you’d hope for from LOG.” Most recently came “Blunt Force Blues,” a track Rock Sound dubbed “punishing.”
Produced and mixed by longtime studio collaborator Josh Wilbur, Into Oblivion was recorded across multiple locations tied closely to the band’s identity. Drums were tracked in Richmond, VA with guitars and bass recorded at Morton’s home studio. Blythe recorded his vocals at the legendary Total Access studio in Redondo Beach, CA, the birthplace of seminal punk records by Black Flag, Hüsker Dü, and Descendents.
The album is available on a variety of physical formats, including multiple vinyl variants, a collectible Into Oblivion CD with a limited-edition companion zine featuring album art sketches, handwritten lyrics and never-before-seen studio photos. Lamb of God’s Spring North American tour begins on Tuesday, preceded by a sold-out Sunday pop-up performance at Philadelphia’s TLA.
