Rage Artist Spotlight Decibel Dogs
Rage Artist Spotlight Decibel Dogs

1) Tell our rock fans about the band‘s latest release where did the band record with and who?

DD: our latest release is actually our first release. The song is one that I wrote long ago with our mixing engineer Glenn Burgos. When Decibel Dogs got together we wanted to become familiar with each other so we worked on songs that we had all previously written. The remake of this one came out so intense we had to record it. We recorded it with Michael Rende at Zen Studios in Tampa, Florida .
He just finished working on the new Cheap Trick record, and had also worked on the Corrosion of Conformity album.

2) How long was the writing process? What inspired you on this new release?

DD: As mentioned before DAY ZERO was written long ago, but as we worked on it, getting our chops together, ,we realized that this had to be played for the world.

3) What changed during the process from previous releases?

DD: Being our first release, we’re getting more used to playing with each other and writing and recording. While our first batch of songs were individually written ,our new songs are more of a group effort and are really showing the diversity of our band.

4)What’s next for the band?

DD: we’re finishing the mixing of our first real release entitled
“Unleashed”. We had released some of the songs earlier as demo tapes. Now the official record is coming out over the summer.
We will be releasing a new track every few weeks, and then definitely looking to ramp up the live shows in the fall perhaps with a national tour scheduled for 2027.

5) Describe your live show to a fan that has not seen you perform before?

DD: when you come Decibel Dog show, you will definitely see a high energy, old school hard rock experience. Loud, rude and aggressive, yet very entertaining!

6)What is your favorite song to play live?

DD: It’s hard to say of course we love to play all OUR songs. We don’t do many cover songs as we like to think of ourselves as a fully original band, but we do blend in a couple of covers old school Aerosmith “Adams Apple” Motorhead “Ace of spade” Ozzy “Believer “ deep cuts stuff like that.

7) If you could collaborate on a song or tour with a band, who would you choose and why?

DD: Ha ..unfortunately mostly anybody we would want to collaborate with are dead or no longer together.

8) What drives you as a musician?

DD: Music allows you to express yourself. It’s also a great way to get out your anger and aggression… instead of going out and punching someone in the face you just take it out on your guitar

10)What band member gets the most attention ?

DD: We are a new band so we are just starting to get some press and some feedback.. no one in particular gets more “attention”However , Joe “Fucking” Diaz is our bulldozer.
When Joe plays his guitar, everyone in the room listens.

11) What is the single greatest music memory so far while being in the band.?

DD: We’ve only been together for a year but definitely playing the Whisky a Go Go on the Sunset strip in Hollywood. It was definitely one of the great highlights ..always wanted to play there. None of us had ever. We played two shows last June with Angel and Pretty Boy Floyd ..we filmed out video for “Everywhere You Look” while we were out there.

12)If the band were thrown into a wrestling battle royal which member would win?
DD: That’s easy ..it would be no contest .Our drummer Donnie Tipple was a state wrestling champion.
13)What can fans expect next from the band?

DD: we will be releasing our new record “Unleashed”, and then try to play as many cities in America and the world as possible
