“End of You” is a musical tour de force from three artists at the top of their game. Last week, they teased the project with a cryptic joint Instagram post, creating major anticipation. In the accompanying video, Poppy, Amy and Courtney conjure powerful dark energy and even more powerful messages as they sing “the end of you is the start of life for me.”

    About Poppy:

Poppy is having a monumental year. “Suffocate,” her collaboration with Knocked Loose, was nominated for Best Metal Performance at the 2025 GRAMMY Awards. She previously made history in 2021 as the first-ever female solo nominee in the category for her solo track “BLOODMONEY.” She soon embarks on the second leg of her sold out They’re All Around Us tour, continuing a nearly year-long celebration of her critically acclaimed album Negative Spaces. From performance art provocateur (see new variety show Improbably Poppy), to video director, to sci-fi graphic novel author, to a globe-traveling recording artist whose songbook encompasses anything from brutal metal breakdowns and snappy ‘60s bubblegum, to trap-pop and grunge-punk, absolutely nothing has been off-limits when it comes to Poppy masterfully executing her varied artistic vision.

    About Amy Lee:

Amy Lee is a singer, pianist and songwriter, best known as the co-founder of the two-time GRAMMY® Award-winning rock band, Evanescence. Having recorded 5 studio albums with the band and touring the globe many times over, Amy has made an impact on people around the world. The 2003 debut album, Fallen, spent 43 weeks in the Billboard Top 10 and has sold more than 17 million copies worldwide, 10 million copies in the US alone, making it Diamond. The “Bring Me to Life” music video has also now reached more than 1.3 billion views on YouTube. In March of 2021, Evanescence released their fifth studio album, The Bitter Truth, featuring the song “Better Without You,” a Top-10 charting song at US Rock Radio, having spent an incredible 27 weeks on the chart. The band’s recent single, “Afterlife” from the Netflix series, Devil May Cry has had great success with over 75 million streams and over 10 million views on YouTube in just the first few weeks. “Afterlife” hit the top of the U.S. Rock Radio Chart, notching the band’s first-ever #1 at the format. Most recently, Amy released “Hand That Feeds” with Halsey and Evanescence released “Fight Like A Girl (feat. K.Flay)”, both from the film, Ballerina from the world of John Wick. “Fight Like A Girl” is the band’s current single, rapidly working its way up the Rock & Alternative radio Charts. The band are currently in the studio, finishing recording for their next album, expected in 2026. In November, the band will tour stadiums in Australia and New Zealand with Metallica.

    About Courtney LaPlante:

Courtney LaPlante is the powerhouse vocalist of Spiritbox, one of the most formidable and forward-thinking bands in heavy music. Since the breakout success of their debut Eternal Blue – which debuted at #13 on the Billboard 200 – Spiritbox has consistently pushed genre boundaries, with Courtney’s dynamic range and emotional intensity at the forefront. The band’s Fear of Fear EP earned back-to-back GRAMMY nominations (“Jaded” in 2024, “Cellar Door” in 2025), while bold collaborations with Megan Thee Stallion, including the viral “Cobra” remix and explosive “TYG” (#5 on Billboard’s Hot Hard Rock Songs), spotlight their fearless crossover ambition. Their 2025 sophomore album Tsunami Sea (Pale Chord / Rise Records) debuted at #1 on Billboard’s Top Hard Rock Albums chart, further cementing Spiritbox’s reputation as sonic innovators. Known for their incendiary live show, Spiritbox – led by LaPlante – continues to deliver a visceral, emotionally immersive experience that’s redefining the landscape of modern heavy music.

Slow Crush release Thirst today on Pure Noise Records, their first album for the label. Thirst’s ten tracks are a thematic cascade of noise that echoes the end and bursts into new life. The riffs are heavier, the vocals are dreamier and more emotional than ever.

Slow Crush’s dynamic textures, propulsive rhythms and gauzy riffs glow bright as ever, but this time with more grit. The past few years off the road have given the four-piece space to breathe and create since the release of their two critically acclaimed albums, Aurora (2018) and Hush (2021), which have sold over several tens of thousands physical copies, cementing them on the forefront of rock / shoegaze. When the time came to head into the studio, vocalist / bassist Isa Holliday, drummer Frederik Meeuwis, guitarists Jelle Ronsmans and Nic Placlé decamped to The Ranch in Southampton, U.K., to work with producer Lewis Johns with no expectations in mind, aside from a metamorphosis.

Thirst’s overarching themes are what Isa describes as “the fragility of human connection, and the complexity of love and self-identity.” In the depths of distance and absence, the heart trembles, torn between love and loneliness, as if clinging to the fragile thread of a connection that may unravel at any moment. The reunion can feel glorious, the connection sparkling new again for a while.

Isa explains, “We want people to let themselves go and feel embraced by the music, so that they can experience it in 4D. That’s what we hear a lot from people who come to see us live, or people who’ve listened to our previous albums, is that we take them to another dimension. I think that’s something that we miss in this day and age with everything that’s going on in the world, making us very aware of everything outside, but not allowing us to just be in the moment as much as you should. We want to let people take a moment for themselves and let the music take them wherever they would like to go.”

Slow Crush return to North America next week for their extensive Fall headlining tour which kicks off on the East Coast. The run includes performances at NYC’s Music Hall of Williamsburg, LA’s Teragram Ballroom and more – see below for a full list of dates. Tickets are on sale now.

“It’s going to be great for the fans,” Kerry King said. “Not having toured in a number of years, there might be some people at this show who have never seen Slayer before, or in some time. So, for the Hershey concert, we’ll play a Slayer show, we’ll have all of our big fire effects, just burn everything like we used to – a real Slayer show.” Added King, ““This will be the first time Slayer has played with Power Trip or Knocked Loose, but I am well aware of them from word of mouth and hearing their music on Liquid Metal. I’m looking forward to seeing them live. Added Tom Araya, “My favorite part of what I do is the stage time. Nothing compares to the 90-minutes when we’re on stage playing live, sharing that intense energy with our fans. I love singing, and I love convincing everybody, ‘my god, that guy is a maniac.’”  “I’ve been a Slayer fan ever since I was a kid,” said Priest. “Metal has always had a special place in wrestling, Slayer’s legacy is woven into the fabric of wrestling, and the genre wouldn’t be where it is today without Slayer.  This September at Hershey Park Stadium in Pennsylvania, I’m excited and honored to host Slayer’s show and bring wrestling into their world.”  “Honored to share the stage with one of our all-time favorite bands, Slayer. See you sick f*cks at the riff clinic.“ — Power Trip

About Slayer (2025) For more than four decades, Slayer’s onslaught has proved the band to be the supreme thrash-metal band on the planet, the band that other heavy acts are still measured against and aspire to. Their membership in “The Big Four” – Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth and Anthrax – the four bands that defined the thrash/metal genre – secures their place in music history.    The five-time nominated, two-time Grammy winners have also accumulated an abundance of certified Gold Albums along with “Best…” awards from media outlets all over the world, including Kerrang!SPINMetal HammerRevolver, and Esquire. Throughout Slayer’s history, the band never faltered in unleashing its extreme and focused sonic assault, and, unlike many of its contemporaries who commercialized their sound, Slayer remained crushing and brutal, steadfastly refusing to cater to the mainstream. Slayer’s founding member, guitarist Jeff Hanneman passed in 2013, and Exodus guitarist Gary Holt has been filling that spot since.  Paul Bostaph, who was Slayer’s drummer from ’94 – ’01, rejoined bassist/vocalist Tom Araya and guitarist Kerry King in 2013, and remains back behind the kit.  In January 2018, Slayer announced they were calling it a day and would be doing one final world tour to thank its fans for their support over the years. Launched on May 10, 2018, by the time the 18-month tour wrapped on November 30, 2019, Slayer had played 148 shows, performing in 34 countries and 146 cities around the world, and in 40 U.S. states. In September, 2024, Slayer surprised fans with the news that they would headline three, major summer U.S. festivals – Riot Fest, Louder Than Life, and Aftershock.  While Slayer has no plans to do any extensive touring, the band likely will continue to play some one-off shows, such as the recent Black Sabbath concert in the UK, a handful of headline UK dates, and select major festivals.

About Knocked Loose Forged on musical bonds built at an early age, Knocked Loose came together in the small yet relatively formidable hardcore / punk scene of the greater Louisville, KY area– the same that gave birth to bands ranging from Slint to Breather Resist to Endpoint to Coliseum. And though said scene was relatively strong, a lack of available bands, touring parties and scarcity of gigs forced diversity– mixing genres and challenging young ears with new ideas, approaches and styles. That diversity-– death metal bands mingling with youth crew, screamo on the same bill as Am-Rep-style bands and on and on– created the basis of Knocked Loose musically and the genesis for their approach, an amalgam of heavy influences that never commits to any singular style but maintains a loyalty to the hardcore tradition.
About Suicidal Tendencies Suicidal Tendencies was formed in Venice, California, during the early ’80s. Founded by lead singer Mike Muir, younger brother of original Z-Boy and Dogtown Skateboard founder Jim Muir, ST merged the essence of skating, surfing and the Dogtown area, with a new Style of hardcore that brought a new crowd to punk and metal shows.

Since the first release in 1983, the band has constantly evolved, and now has several Gold records and Grammy Nominations, was Inducted into the Skateboard Hall of Fame and had some of the biggest names in music, from Robert Trujillo, Thundercat, Josh Freese, Brooks Wackerman, etc. Now 40 years after the release of the first self titled album, ST is Mike Muir, Ben Weinman (Dillinger Escape Plan), Dean Pleasants, Tye Trujillo (Robert’s son) and newest member Jay Weinberg on drums, still bringing the energy and aggression like it’s 1983 all over.

About Power Trip Power Trip is a crossover thrash metal band from Dallas, Texas. Their sound, an inseparable mix of hardcore punk, speed, and death metal was informed by the sounds of the Cro-MagsVio-lenceNuclear Assault, and Leeway, and draws fans from across the extreme music spectrum.
The band began as a five-piece in Dallas, Texas in 2008. Their initial lineup consisted of bassist Chris Whetzel, drummer Marcus, vocalist Riley Gale, and guitarists Blake “Rossover” Ibanez, and Nicky “Thrasher” Stewart. They released a collection of five demos that same year. In 2009 Marcus left and was eventually replaced by veteran Chris Ulsh (Hatred SurgeMammoth GrinderThe Impalers). They released a four-song EP entitled Armageddon Blues. They also began touring, first throughout Texas, then the Southwest and California, and then nationally. Usually, in addition to the band and their gear, an extended voluntary entourage would travel with them, often in the same van to help with hauling gear, working the merchandise table and the box office, etc.

About Cavalera (performing Chaos A.D.) Since 1983, the name CAVALERA has become synonymous with extreme metal music, a name that to this day still holds the highest regard, a family legacy built upon decades of musical aggression. Over forty years ago, the CAVALERA brothers were spearheading the first wave of thrash, death and black metal, and despite their faraway Latin-American roots, have garnished worldwide attention and critical acclaim with their ferocious songwriting and unstoppable drive.

About Exodus (performing Bonded by Blood) Now celebrating 40 years as a band, the EXODUS lineup is comprised of: Tom Hunting on Drums, Gary Holt on Guitar, Lee Altus on Guitar, Jack Gibson on Bass, and Steve “Zetro” Souza as lead vocalist. All these years and EXODUS still boast a similar writing process to what they started out with. Although technology has made it so that the recording and mixing processes are less time consuming, the main change is really just that “[they] respect what [they] do a lot more,” states Hunting. “We’ve humbled ourselves to the journey and consider ourselves lucky to do what we do, but our creative process is still the same. Basically drums, guitar concepts; those are the starting point. After the music begins to take place we all process it and write together.

Los Angeles, CA – August 22, 2025 – Jack’s Mannequin, the acclaimed alternative pop rock group led by veteran indie-pop singer-songwriter-pianist Andrew McMahon, surprised fans today with the release of Everything In Transit: Strings Attached EP to officially celebrate their 20th anniversary. The special collection features brand-new acoustic versions of five songs off the band’s Gold-certified debut album, Everything In Transit, originally released August 23, 2005. Produced by Suzy Shinn (Weezer, Fall Out Boy) and recorded at Treehouse Studios in Los Angeles, Everything In Transit: Strings Attached EP strips down Jack’s Mannequin’s Gold-certified hit single “Dark Blue” and fan favorites “Holiday From Real,” “I’m Ready,” “Bruised” and “The Mixed Tape” set against string arrangements courtesy of LA-based artist Allie Stamler. PRESS HERE to listen to Everything In Transit: Strings Attached EP. PRESS HERE to pre-order on vinyl.

Transit was more than a record to me. It was a window into one of the most chaotic, heartbreaking, and beautiful times in my life,” shares McMahon. “I had so much to lose and somehow, I was more fearless than I’d ever been or will ever be. Twenty years later, I still love these songs as much as I did when they came to life in the speakers for the very first time.”

Of the new Everything In Transit: Strings Attached EP, he adds, “We had no idea what we were trying to make when we decided to cut this record. It was very similar to Transit in that sense. I showed up with the songs and we just started experimenting. Halfway through the first day, the piano strings were covered in mounting putty and I remember thinking two things: this is so much fun and what the hell have I gotten myself into? The revelation came when Suzy Shinn, my longtime friend and producer, invited Allie Stamler over at the end of the first session. Allie is a brilliant violinist and the two of us just hung out in Suzy’s living room with a mic and arranged string parts in real time. It was so clear that we had found an angle on these songs that felt fresh and we basically told Allie she was stuck with us for the next couple weeks. It was such a free and creative process and it made reworking the songs feel like a worthwhile endeavor rather than some box to check for an album anniversary.”

In addition to marking 20 years of Jack’s Mannequin, tomorrow’s date represents a bigger, more personal milestone for McMahon. At the age of 22, he was diagnosed with Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia (ALL) and admitted to the hospital on the same day the recording of Everything In Transit finished. A few months later, on the album’s release day (August 23, 2005), McMahon received a stem cell transplant from his sister, ultimately saving his life. After making a full recovery, Andrew founded the Dear Jack Foundation in 2006, a nonprofit providing impactful programming that directly benefits adolescents and young adults diagnosed with cancer in order to improve quality of life and create positive health outcomes from treatment to survivorship for patients and their families.

Jack’s Mannequin McMahon (vocals, piano), Bobby “Raw” Anderson (guitar), Jay McMillan (drums) and Mikey Wagner (bass, keys) – reunited earlier this year to kickstart their 20th anniversary celebrations with The MFEO Tour. The first leg of the 30-date North American outing sold-out nightly throughout June, receiving high acclaim from both fans and media, even hailed as “the show of the summer.Following a performance at Maryland’s Oceans Calling festival in September, The MFEO Tour will resume October 11th at The Wiltern in Los Angeles. Jack’s Mannequin will then make their debut at When We Were Young and continue their headlining run this fall from October 31st through November 23rd stopping in St. Petersburg, Orlando, Atlanta, Columbus, Cleveland, Detroit (for the 16th Annual Dear Jack Benefit), Vancouver, Seattle, San Francisco, Anaheim, and Del Mar, California. Supporting Jack’s Mannequin in the fall are Mondo Cozmo, hellogoodbye, and illuminati hotties on select dates each. Before resuming the second leg of the tour,

Jack’s Mannequin heads overseas in September for headlining shows in Japan and a run of dates with Mayday Parade in Australia. See below for full list of upcoming tour dates. Most dates of The MFEO Tour’s upcoming leg are already sold out or with low ticket supply. During its tenure, the esteemed quartet released a total of three acclaimed studio albums, with both their sophomore LP The Glass Passenger (2008) and third and final album People and Things (2011) entering the Top 10 on the Billboard 200 chart. Jack’s Mannequin also performed multiple times on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, received major media support, and were featured in the hit TV series One Tree Hill. Though Jack’s Mannequin officially went on hiatus in 2012, leading to McMahon launching his current moniker Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness in 2014, the highly adored SoCal band has reunited on a handful of special occasions over the years.

In other recent news, on July 23rd, Andrew McMahon headlined the famed Red Rocks Amphitheatre for the sold-out Three Pianos concert, where he performed with all three of his bands (Jack’s Mannequin, Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness, Something Corporate) in one night for the first time ever. The special career-spanning evening, which saw McMahon performing on all three of his beloved pianos representing each of his musical chapters, made Red Rocks history with McMahon becoming the first artist to star as opening act, direct support, and headliner all in one night.
