Stream STOMACH’s “Get Through Winter” HERE.   Chicago’s dismal sludge/doom metal crew STOMACH returns with their second LP, Low Demon, set to drop July 18th on Hibernation Release.

STOMACH began as a duo featuring drummer/vocalist John Hoffman (Weekend Nachos, Ledge) and guitarist Adam Tomlinson (Sick/Tired, Sea Of Shit), who previously played together in the very first Weekend Nachos lineup. The duo released two demo tapes and their monstrous debut album, Parasite, prior to their upcoming second album, Low Demon, the band having since evolved into a live three-piece with the addition of bassist Kirk Syrek (Sick/Tired, Exalted).

Delivering their brand of punishing, sludge-laced doom to new lows, Low Demon arrives with over forty minutes across five dismal tracks of pure, sonic depravity. The record was recorded by John Hoffman during the winter of 2024 at The Pit II in Geneva, Illinois, and mixed and mastered by Will Killingsworth at Dead Air Studios (The Body, Magrudergrind, Fugitive), with photography by Britt Crowe. With Low Demon, STOMACH has once again delivered an album of massive scope and sound cementing them amongst the very best in the sludge metal underworld.

Hoffman writes with the album’s lead single, “‘Get Through Winter’ is a song about seasonal depression and the indescribable emotions that come with below freezing temperatures. In the Midwest it’s pretty much a staple, one of those, ‘Tell me you’re from Chicago without telling me you’re from Chicago’ things. There is a chemical imbalance that happens during those months, not to everybody but to some of us, that is truly miserable, like any hope for happiness is on hold and you aren’t able to move forward with life until your brain thaws. I hate it here, but I will probably always live here.”

Endure the frigid demoralization of STOMACH’s “Get Through Winter” now at YouTube HERE, Bandcamp HERE, and Spotify HERE.   Low Demon will be released July 18th, digitally and on both Black and very limited Red LP pressings. Preorders are live at the Hibernation Release webshop HERE and Bandcamp HERE.

Expect additional previews of the album to post alongside live dates and more.

    European Tour Dates Announced!
[photo credit: Guillermo Briceno] “…TETRARCH is back and arguably better than ever.” – Knotfest

“TETRARCH Ascends To The Nü-Throne” – Metal Injection

“…the riffs are addictive from the jump…” – State Of The Scene Podcast

“…a raw and honest exploration wrapped in a heavy and memorable sound. Prepare for the next evolution of Tetrarch.” – New Noise Magazine
The wait is almost over! Ahead of tomorrow’s release of their blistering third album, The Ugly Side Of Me, modern metal stars TETRARCH have dropped their fourth and final single, entitled “Best of Luck”. The standout track showcases the stellar riff artistry of Jackson Guitars’ first ever female signature artist Diamond Rowe.

Diamond Rowe of TETRARCH offers an inside look at the lyricism behind “Best of Luck”:
“’Best Of Luck’ was such a fun song to write. I think Josh and I got together and wrote this song together in only a few hours and it has ended up being a favorite of those who have heard the album already.

The title of this song has kind of a funny story. I remember when we were younger and just starting out we would get rejection emails left and right from several different people within the industry. A lot of them used to sign their emails ‘Best of Luck’ or ‘Best of Luck in the future’ and it was always funny because clearly they
didn’t wish us well at all, haha! Fast forward to now, when we have accomplished so much of what a lot of those people said we never would already, so this is kind of our ‘Best of Luck’ back to them. No hard feelings, just a funny tongue in cheek kind of thing. Maybe it’s us just being the smart asses that we always are.”  Listen to “Best of Luck” HERE: After four years of intensely focused growth, TETRARCH is poised to top the multi-millions of cross-platform streams and views of their addictive singles and high-energy videos, frequent playlisting via Spotify, Apple and others, mainstream top 40 Active Rock radio blitzes, attention from major media like Billboard, Revolver, Alternative Press, Guitar World, Kerrang! and Metal Hammer, and international tours supporting legendary artists Sevendust, Atreyu and beyond.

If there is any question as to whether a band can push the confines of metal and hard rock in to the future, TETRARCH are the answer. Combining energetic modern musical aggression and lyrical honesty with colossal choruses and unforgettable melodies, TETRARCH appeal to fans both in and outside of the metal scene, providing newcomers a gateway into heavy music.

TETRARCH’s Napalm Records debut, Unstable (2021), received massive critical acclaim. Its debut single, “I’m Not Right”, cracked the Mediabase Active Rock Top 30 and has garnered over 15 million combined cross-platform streams to date. Follow up single “You Never Listen” later went on to receive keen support from SiriusXM, HardDrive, Full Metal Jackie and many more of the country’s leading active rock outlets.  Pre-Order The Ugly Side Of Me HERE Among its perfectly crafted 10 tracks, new album The Ugly Side Of Me cuts like 90s industrial-injected single “Live Not Fantasize” – which premiered via SiriusXM Liquid Metal upon its release alongside Diamond Rowe’s Jackson Guitars signature launch – thrill with intense electronic flourishes, quick riffage and dynamic, spine-tingling guitar solos. Anthemic second single “Never Again (Parasite)” – featuring the standout vocal debut of Diamond Rowe – carefully balances thick grooves and massive atmosphere with deep-cutting lyricism and the mulit-faceted vocal breadth of frontman Josh Fore. Tracks like album opener “Anything Like Myself” showcase the hypnotizing, crushing metallic brilliance of the band while flirting with Josh Fore’s intense screams and Ruben Limas’ punching drums, while the likes of “Best Of Luck” stand tall with the rhythmic basslines of Ryan “Dooms” Lerner and Rowe’s inventive riff artistry. Profound melodic bangers like “Erase” and “Cold” are injected with intricate guitar solos, while “Headspace” and “The Only Thing I’ve Got” thrust the vital, brooding elements of TETRARCH into the forefront. Each track succeeds with lyrical themes of facing our own darkest criticisms – embracing the healing notion that what we feel others may see as our worst traits actually define the greatest aspects of our individuality.

Featuring needle-sharp production co-produced by Dave Otero, Diamond Rowe and Josh Fore, The Ugly Side Of Me boasts unrelenting brutality, catchiness and songwriting mastery. Metal is practically begging for its next wave of genre frontrunners, and with one listen it’s clear – TETRARCH lead the charge.

With Motörhead guitarist Phil Campbell in attendance, who will place Lemmy’s ashes in a magnificent statue by local sculptor and huge Motörhead fan Andy Edwards , it’s set to be a day full of fun, friends, and, most of all, noise. Ceremonial festivities include a biker parade to accompany the ashes, various speakers, and a thunderous 21-rev salute fired into the sky in solemn reverence! The statue itself depicts Lemmy in all his live glory from 1981, when Motörhead headlined Heavy Metal Holocaust just down the road at Port Vale Stadium on August 1, 1981.

Here are some more details about what visitors can expect and what services will be offered on the day:

The Bare Walls Art Gallery next to the statue is hosting an installation with rarely seen photos of Lemmy and other memorabilia.

  • Chasing Stars Takes On Justin Bieber’s “Ghost” and Crushes it!

In this remake of Ghost, we wanted to capture the raw ache of missing someone who once felt like home — the kind of absence that lingers in every quiet moment. This version strips everything down to the emotion at its core, turning pain into melody and longing into something beautiful. It’s a tribute not only to those we’ve lost, but to the memories that never truly leave us. I hope listeners can find a piece of their own healing in this version, the way we found ours while creating it.

  • MAMMOTH – ‘THE END’ // Wolfgang Van Halen returns with brand new single and ‘From Dusk Till Dawn’ themed video filled with huge cameos

    MAMMOTH

Concept for the music video was created by Wolfgang and legendary director Robert Rodriguez and features monster effects by icon Greg Nicotero

Music video featuring cameos by Danny Trejo, Slash, Myles Kennedy,

Valerie Bertinelli and the MAMMOTH live band can be seen here

See Wolfgang with Black Sabbath in Birmingham on July 5th

GRAMMY® Award-nominated songwriter, vocalist, multi-instrumentalist, and producer Wolfgang Van Halen is back with the latest single from the band he masterminds, Mammoth. “The End” is an adrenaline-driven rocker that kicks off with a signature lead guitar riff that has become a fan-favorite element in Wolfgang’s music. The anthemic build of the intro gives way to the driving verse melody with each part carefully created and performed by Van Halen and his returning collaborator Michael “Elvis” Baskette. The chorus is driven by the unforgettable vocal melody as the message of “Take your hand in mine and watch the end with me.” The song is now available for pre-save via all digital service providers here.

I’ve had the tapping idea on the intro for ‘The End’ since before Mammoth. I was able to fit it into this world. It’s still over-the-top and shreddy, but it’s also melodic and controlled. Overall, I was doing some different things on the record, and I knew this was going to be a big step. Once we finished ‘The End,’ it felt really special to me,” explains Wolfgang Van Halen.

To coincide with the single release, Wolfgang and Mammoth have released a music video for “The End” that is one for the history books and something rarely seen in music videos anymore. Wolfgang teamed up with legendary director Robert Rodriguez to do a modern-day interpretation of Rodriguez’s 1996 hit film, From Dusk Till Dawn. The video tells the story of a rock band that is booked to play a show at a dive bar and given an ominous warning from the club owner portrayed by Danny Trejo. Mammoth decides they know better, and things quickly turn dire for the band before a surprising revelation during the final moments tie the complete video lore from the band together. Friends of Mammoth including Slash, Myles Kennedy and Wolfgang’s mother Valerie Bertinelli all show up throughout the short film. Horror effects icon Greg Nicotero offered his talents to the video to create zombies, werewolves and vampires that all bring a deadly end to the attendees of the show. The music video for “The End” can be seen here

After a whirlwind two years supporting the likes of Metallica, Pantera, Foo Fighters, Alter Bridge, Halestorm, Creed among many more, along with headline dates in addition to major festivals the world over, Mammoth will embark on another American trek this summer and autumn. Wolfgang also returns to the UK this July for the final Black Sabbath show in Birmingham on 5th July at Villa Park. More information on all tickets and VIP passes can be found at www.mammoth.band.

GRAMMY® Award-nominated songwriter, vocalist, multi-instrumentalist, and producer Wolfgang Van Halen continues to separate Mammoth from the pack. The music stands alone on a foundation anchored by his impressive sonic proficiency (across drums, bass, keys, and guitar) and airtight arena-size hooks with unforgettable vocals. He harbors an irresistible signature sound, inventive vision, and incomparable identity vaunted by a fervent global fanbase. For as unique as the music is, his story so far proves to be just as unprecedented. This is arguably the first hard rock act to genuinely break out from ground zero in the 2020’s, generating north of 100 million streams, toppling charts, and selling out headline tours less than five years since its debut. Back in 2021, Mammoth’s first offering, Mammoth WVH, took flight, bowing at #12 on the Billboard 200 and capturing #1 on three Billboard charts—Top Hard Rock Albums, Top Independent Albums, and Top Rock Albums. “Distance” soared as the first of two #1 Rock Radio Hits and earned a GRAMMY® Award nomination for “Best Rock Song.” Two years later, Mammoth II only saw him pick up the pace. It debuted in the Top 5 of the Billboard Top Album Sales Chart in addition to bringing him back to #1 on the Top Hard Rock Albums Chart. It incited widespread applause from Rolling Stone, Guitar World, GRAMMY.com, Classic Rock, American Songwriter, and KERRANG! The band canvased the globe with Metallica and Pantera and supported Foo Fighters in North America as well as filling houses on their own. They performed on ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel LIVE!, at MusiCares 2024 gala in honor of Jon Bon Jovi, and Wolf took the stage at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame® Induction of Ozzy Osbourne. Now, Wolfgang pushes forward on Mammoth’s third full-length LP.
