DOGMA dominates again with the video single “Shift Happens”
The songwas recorded in two countriesand will be part of their sixth album.
The national Groove Metal band surprises us with “Shift Happens,” a preview of their new album, which is in the recording process and comes with many surprises.
In this new studio work, the successor to Atemporal, Dogma, he shows us the strength and evolution of his new composition despite all the years.
A perfect continuation and succession of emblematic works, summarized in a delicate melody with all the necessary ingredients to fulfill his legacy.
And talks about…
Surviving collapse, rebuilding, enduring repetitive struggles, It’s a cathartic anthem about surviving destruction, not as a clean comeback, but as a messy, defiant resistance to giving up, even as everything keeps falling apart.
Strength, style and effectiveness to name a few.
Additionally, this year marks the 25th anniversary of the album “Superfix,” and the band is already booking dates that will include a tour of Chile and its long-awaited deluxe vinyl reissue.
The band is already working on their sixth album.
Dogma – SHIFT HAPPENS:
The band refers to the video like this…and the time has come to present our debt, our video Shift Happens, perhaps the most special and direct video of ours for you… Recorded in Santiago and California, and was produced by Franco, Post prod by Osvaldo López.
After the rousing reaction to “Oblivion” in recent weeks, Lorna Shore are offering another taste of their upcoming album I Feel The Everblack Festering Within Me with second single, “Unbreakable” released today alongside a new music video, directed by Eric Richter. See it HERE. The launch is also accompanied by a brand-new merch collection, available HERE.
Says vocalist Will Ramos of the anthemic track, “’Unbreakable’ is a very triumphant, all-inclusive song written to bring people together for a beautiful moment where they can realize that no matter what this world throws at us, it will never break us down. We and our bonds are unbreakable.”
I Feel The Everblack Festering Within Me is the band’s fifth album and the first in three years since 2022’s explosive Pain Remains. It’s set for release on September 12 via Century Media Records and will continue Lorna Shore’s reputation as one of the most impressive extreme metal acts to emerge in recent memory.
The quintet, also including lead guitarist Adam De Micco, drummer Austin Archey, rhythm guitarist Andrew O’Connor and bassist Michael Yager, have hit the viral Spotify charts, racked up hundreds of millions of streams, embarked on highly successful tours and in the process, galvanized a significant fanbase that hangs onto the band’s quest for stylistic inversion. But by virtue of physical onslaught and wanting to divine truth from their music, Lorna Shore have kept themselves fired up by torching the metal rulebook at every turn, practically demanding that other genres step up their game.
I Feel The Everblack Festering Within Me will be available in multiple formats including digital, CD and limited-edition vinyl variants. Fans can pre-save the album HERE and find their preferred physical and digital retailer HERE.

Today, Los Angeles-based rock powerhouse grandson (aka Jordan Benjamin) announces his North American headlining INERTIA tour in support of his upcoming third album INERTIAout September 5 via his own XX Records in partnership with Create Music.
This tour marks grandson’s biggest headlining shows to date across the United States and Canada with a kickoff in San Francisco at The Fillmore on October 21. It includes stops in Seattle on October 25 at ShowBox SoDo, Chicago’s Riviera Theater on November 1st, Los Angeles’ The Bellwether on November 19, Brooklyn’s Warsaw on November 17, Toronto’s Phoenix Concert Theatre on December 12, and will wrap in Montreal on December 13 at MTelus.
Artist presale will begin June 17 at 10AM local time, and the general on sale will be Friday, June 20 at 10AM local time. For tickets and more information, please visit https://grandsonmusic.com/.
Of his headlining tour, grandson says, “This next chapter of grandson was built by and for the sweat of the crowd, the roar of our voice becoming one, the color of my bruise leaving the pit – defiant, proud, cathartic and messy. INERTIA is the best version of grandson – a lifetime in the making and it’s gonna be f**king sick just like you’re gonna feel a sickness in your stomach watching videos later knowing you could have been there.”
grandson recently took over Los Angeles’ El Cid with a sold-out, blistering performance for a few lucky fans. 100% of the proceeds from this show benefited the Los AngelesLGBT Center, an organization that works to build a world where LGBT identifying people thrive as healthy, equal, and complete members of society. Learn more at lalgbtcenter.org. Check out some video highlights from the show here.
On May 30th, grandson released the sharp and poignant first single off INERTIA, “BRAINROT”, attacking apathy and societal conformity in the digital age. The track is his first new music since writing the theme song for the film Venom, and it is his first solo offering in over two years. Produced by Mike Crossey (The Killers, The 1975, 21 Pilots, YUNGBLUD), “BRAINROT” exemplifies an empowering next step for grandson as an artist and songwriter, operating on his own terms and speaking truth to power. “BRAINROT” has accumulated 4 million views and counting across socials since grandson first started teasing it in May. Check out the music video here.
Already an artist admired for both his searing social commentary (see the breakthrough hit ‘Blood // Water’) and heart-breaking true life stories (the fan memorial ‘Heather’), grandson is going darker, harder and more uncompromising than ever before as he prepares to release his third full-length album INERTIA.
INERTIA is the sound of grandson becoming lean and ferocious. The overarching theme is a clamour for what he calls a “growing need for class solidarity that can be achieved by seeing that across any political spectrum, people stand to benefit from the consolidation of power in the hands of the many against the few.” That concept is set to music which pumps the heart before engaging the mind: colossal heavyweight riffs, raging, blood-vessel busting raps, soaring hooks, and the philosophy that music that fights for social justice should sound like a rallying cry.
grandson’s ambition for INERTIA was to pack it full of songs that demanded a place on future setlists. As such, it’s an album that grabs you by the throat and doesn’t let go, defined by full-throttle blasters, punchy rap-rock grooves, and more. INERTIA is a different path to walk that will ignite mosh pits while provoking further examination of its themes, and one in which American politics is the context to connect with a broader, progressive international audience. “So many people are fighting for different things,” he concludes. “I believe that finding connection with one another, through music or otherwise, and making collective demands for a brighter, better future, can lead us to a more holistic way of living, thinking, and consuming. It all starts with a cathartic release of energy. Meet you in the pit.

’A2Z2’ the new album from hard rock band A-Z is out now!” Released on June 6th, the band‘s sophomore release on Metal Blade Records is already receiving amazing reviews from fans and press.“Encompasses everything that modern prog metal should be about. Brilliant!” – Metal Hammer (Germany)“Essential, to the power of two. Not just for the Fates community-9/5/10.” Rock Hard (Germany) “’A2Z2‘ is a complete masterpiece that blends melodic hard rock with progressive metal and truly demonstrates that the band are true veterans of their craft and are showing no signs of slowing down.” – Lots of Muzik“This album will be on repeat & leave the listener wanting more!” – The Prog Report“Ten strong, melodic hard rock/AOR songs with a high sing-along factor, that will continue to resonate in your memory after a few listens.” – Rock Tribune“This new incarnation of A-Z brilliantly confirms all the potential glimpsed on the first album and takes A2Z² to a higher level” – Amarok
To celebrate the album‘s release, the band have released the 3rd single and video from the album for the track “The Remedy,” a musical elixir composed of equal parts killer chorus, great groove, and huge hooks with the band strutting a bit of funk along the way. Ray Alder‘s introspective lyrics explore the intricacies of relationships and features a hallmark chorus and exceptional background vocals. The song opens with a drum fill and highlights a heavy riff that’s deceptively difficult to play to a tight meter, though A-Z‘s assemblage of world-class musicians makes it sound easy.Watch the video for “The Remedy” HERE https://youtu.be/GN5YNGvJC_8

The writing for the album began when Zonder and guitarist Nick Van Dyk (Redemption) started working with vocalist Alder on the album‘s first single and de facto statement, “Nothing Is Over,” showcasing the band‘s commitment to making heavy music that‘s sophisticated but hooky and accessible. Helping achieve those aural goals are bassist Philip Bynoe (Steve Vai/Ring of Fire/Warlord), Italian guitarist Simone Mularoni (A2Z2 mixing/mastering, DGM) and keyboard player Jimmy Waldo (Alcatrazz/New England).A-Z lineup:

THE VIOLENT HOUR DEBUTS BRAND NEW TRACK, “HELL OR HOLLYWOOD”“I wanted to write a song that felt the way I did when I first moved to Los Angeles, it sounds like nothing I have ever recorded before.”— Carla Harvey
CHICAGO: (Friday, June 6, 2025) — Today, “Hell or Hollywood,” the brand new single from The Violent Hour’s upcoming EP that features guitarist Zakk Wylde, is released via Megaforce Records, and you can check it out HERE. “I wanted to write a song that felt the way I did when I first moved to Los Angeles at twenty,” vocalist/ lyricist Carla Harvey explains, “like my motorcycle boots hitting the Sunset Strip for the very first time. I had driven across the country with nothing but a paper map, no friends, no plan—just a dream. I figured I’d survive somehow, and every day was exactly that: survival. There were moments that nearly broke me, followed by the kind of euphoric highs that made it all worth it. That’s what Hell or Hollywood is: the chaos, illusion and grit in perfect juxtaposition. Wouldn’t leave it if you could…” “Carla grew up loving Guns N’ Roses, and since they were so heavily influenced by Aerosmith, I wanted to write something that paid tribute to both,” added Anthrax’s Charlie Benante who wrote the project’s music and played all instruments on the EP. The riff on ‘Hell or Hollywood’ is the kind that stands on its own — even without vocals, it’s got a swagger to it. And having Zakk Wylde on the solo? He brought this raw, six string grit that rips through the track. You hear it and instantly know—it’s him.”

ABOUT CARLA HARVEY: Not many people have comic book author, embalmer, and musician on their resumes. Carla Harvey boasts all three and so much more. Carla was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan—a city known for its grit, resilience, and often deep divides. Navigating life as a bi-racial kid in a fractured environment wasn’t easy, but Carla found her escape in art, music, and self-expression. By day, she hustled, attending the prestigious College for Creative Studies alongside working odd jobs like perfume counter girl and gas station attendant, and by night, she was on stage with local bands, saving every dollar she could for a one-way trip to Los Angeles.
At twenty, she put all her belongings in her car and navigated from Detroit to Hollywood with a paper map. In LA, she landed acting roles on shows like Rules of Engagement, played in bands searching for her sound, and never stopped creating. But beyond the music was a driven academic. Carla had a deep love for science and eventually pursued a Bachelor of Mortuary Science (graduating as valedictorian) and a Master of Science in Thanatology. Carla became a licensed funeral director and embalmer and founded her own grief counseling service – all while touring the world extensively as a founding member of The Butcher Babies.
Beyond her professional life, Carla is a devoted collector of pop culture oddities: comics, wrestling figures, vintage Barbies, Elvira, the Incredible Hulk, and rock relics from her wildest nights in Hollywood. She still holds onto her Rainbow Bar and Grill drink tickets from the ’90s and a poker chip from Lemmy’s last birthday party. Her creative heroes—Russ Meyers, Robert Williams, Robert Crumb & Charles Bukowski—mirror her love of the bold and the raw. To date, Carla has released six albums, multiple comic books and a 2014 novel, “Death and Other Dances.” But if you ask her…she’s still just a blue-collar kid from the Midwest with big dreams.
