    Los Angeles, CA – April 11, 2025 – Tonight, Kurt Deimer kicks off an extensive North American tour supporting Buckcherry and Steel Panther and to celebrate, the rising rock musician, actor, songwriter, and film producer has released his new single “Sunset Boulevard,” offering another tease from his forthcoming debut album, And So It Begins…, out May 9th. “Sunset Boulevard” captures the total Sunset Strip ‘80s vibe of rock ‘n’ roll and the many artists that have inspired Deimer throughout his life.     “When deciding to get back into music at this time in my life, I’ve spent these last several years on and around Sunset Blvd,” shares Deimer. “In 2019, I was out visiting LA and while standing in front of The Whisky A Go-Go, I said to myself, ‘someday I am going to play here’ and sure enough, I did. I’ve since performed at The Whisky a couple times, played The Rainbow 50th Anniversary, and I just played The Viper Room. Iconic venues on the Sunset Strip, a place that was so important to the rock and roll scene I grew up with. So, when Phil X wanted to write this song, I shared my experiences and thoughts. Phil crafted the song and lyrics as only his greatness can. This song is a tribute to the rich history of Sunset Blvd. and the musical talents of my friend Phil X who had the vision.”
    Everyone has dreams, but not many are bold enough to truly chase them. But Kurt Deimer followed his instincts and now, at an age when most people start thinking about slowing down, he’s releasing his double full-length debut collection via his own label, Bald Man Records. And So It Begins… draws on a wealth of life experiences from the Cincinnati native, who started his first rock band at age 20 but ended up taking a more conventional route as a young man.     In a few short years, Kurt Deimer has made a name for himself in the hard rock scene with his headbanging guitar riffs and socially conscious, anthemic lyrics. His rise in the music industry began when Brian Wheat of TESLA was so impressed by Deimer’s live performance and music while watching him open for the iconic band that Wheat invited Deimer to join TESLA on the road. This opportunity fueled Deimer’s passion to push his music career further, leading to the release of his debut EP, Work Hard, Rock Hard, in late 2021. The acclaimed collection – hailed by Metal-Rules as “a fierce and diverse EP with no filler songs or shortage of big riffs, blues bravado vocals, and brilliant guitar playing” and by Sonic Perspectives as “a colossal display of raw intensity” – launched the powerful musical partnership of Deimer and Phil X, combining Deimer’s anthemic vocals with Phil X’s thunderous riffs.   • Founding Butcher Babies Vocalist Carla Harvey Launches New Project, “The Violent Hour”

    FOUNDING BUTCHER BABIES VOCALIST CARLA HARVEY SET TO LAUNCH UPCOMING PROJECT, THE VIOLENT HOUR, WITH NEW TRACK AND THE HELP OF ANTHRAX’S CHARLIE BENANTE  BRAND NEW TRACK, “SICK ONES“ FEATURING GUITARIST JOHN 5, IS RELEASED TODAY
    DATELINE:  Chicago, IL – Friday, April 11, 2025 – Founding vocalist for the metal band Butcher Babies, comic book author, artist, novelist, and the holder of multiple degrees in Mortuary Science and Thanatology, singer/musician Carla Harvey today announces “Sick Ones,” the first single from her new project, The Violent Hour (Megaforce Records).  The new track, available today, was co-written by Harvey and Anthrax’s Charlie Benante, features guitarist John 5, and can be streamed HERE.  
    “’Sick Ones’ is a rock ‘n’ roll anthem about cutting the toxic people out of your life,” said Harvey.  “It’s a call of freedom, a fist-to-the-face to anyone who has tried to hold you down, hold you back or dim your light.  It was written at a vulnerable time in my life when I was forced to end relationships I thought would last forever. 
    “When choosing a theme for this song,” Harvey added, “I thought about a phrase I had scrawled across a journal from 1999:  ‘Cut The Sick Ones Loose.’  Those words became my mantra over the last couple years and felt perfect to chant over Charlie’s guitar riffs.  ‘Sick Ones‘ also features an absolutely shredding guitar solo by John 5 that brings this thrasher to a whole different level.“
    “‘Sick Ones’ has a Modernized NWOBHM (New wave of British heavy metal) vibe to it,” said Charlie Benante. “The riff is very catchy and stays with you like a good riff should.  ‘Sick Ones’ is just the tip of the iceberg for this project. Many of the songs we crafted for The Violent Hour are unlike anything Carla has ever done as a vocalist, reflecting different moods and a new beginning. The music flowed out of me because I had this motivation, this drive…it was unstoppable.”
    Carla Harvey is cut from a very unique cloth.  She loves to be challenged and is of the opinion that fear is a great motivator in life, that when you throw yourself into what it is that you’re most afraid of, when you’re uncomfortable, you feel alive and are the most creative.  When the Butcher Babies decided to part ways with Carla after 15 years, it indeed felt scary.   But she definitely grew from the experience.  “Since I was a kid,” she said, “I’ve questioned everything.  I listened more than I spoke to take in the world around me, and I tried to make art out of the discord.”

    ABOUT CARLA HARVEY:  Carla was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan – a tough place for her to grow up in as she is bi-racial, and Detroit was a racially divided city during that period. While her preference was always to be at home creating art and music, she held a variety of “day jobs” from a “perfume counter girl “at Detroit’s F&M, sold clothes at RAVE in the local mall, and worked at a gas station, while playing in local bands at night, all to save up enough money to move to Los Angeles to follow her dreams. She did just that; at twenty she put all her belongings in her car and navigated from Detroit to Hollywood with a paper map. Throughout her time in Los Angeles, she worked as an actress for multiple TV shows, including “Rules of Engagement,” and played in various local bands trying to find her sound. While art and music were always her primary focus, she always got straight As in school, and craved education (especially science), Carla found Mortuary college and was named valedictorian in her Bachelor of Mortuary Science program.  She worked as a funeral director and embalmer, eventually founding her own grief counseling service.  In addition to her music career, Carla is a Grief Specialist for the innovative death care company ‘Parting Stone,’ that transforms cremated remains into environmentally-friendly stones that the departed’s family can hold, treasure and honor.   She’s also a passionate collector of memorabilia, from the Incredible Hulk to Elvira to vintage Barbie Dolls, and more.  She still has her drink tickets from her first time at Hollywood’s Rainbow & Grill in the late ‘90s, a laminate and poker chip with Lemmy’s face on it from his last birthday party, and giant KISS dolls.   Carla finds authenticity and rawness intoxicating: her favorite artist is Robert Williams, actress is Juliette Lewis, and Charles Bukowski, who wrote “Ham on Rye,” is her favorite author.  She contends that no matter what may lay ahead for her, she’s always considered herself “just a mid-west, blue collar kid with big dreams.”

    New Studio Album Out In Spring 2026

    Headlining Tours Throughout Europe Announced

    There’s been speculation behind closed doors for some time, and at long last it’s official: American hard rock legends HARDLINE, helmed by outstanding vocalist Johnny Gioeli (also frontman of the Axel Rudi Pell Band), have signed with Steamhammer/SPV.

    The five-piece act is currently working on new material for its upcoming studio album, scheduled to be released in spring 2026, to be followed by two headlining tours of Europe, including a number of shows at major summer festivals.

    Gioeli explains:
    “The time is right, not just for a new album, but also for a complete restart, not least with the support of an ambitious record company that’s always been 100 percent behind its bands. I’ve known SPV for over 25 years and appreciate how committed they are to their work. They always give their all for their artists. I’m looking forward to working with them and can’t wait to start recording our new album in spring 2025.”

    Gioeli promises his fans an album that couldn’t be more typical of HARDLINE, commenting:
    “We’ve always had our own, unmistakable sound, that characteristic HARDLINE style, and that’s definitely not about to change. There will be no half-hearted experiments with me and my bandmates Alessandro Del Vecchio (keyboards), Luca Princiotta (guitars), Anna Portalupi (bass), and Marco Di Salvia (drums), everyone will get what they’ve come to expect from this band and have been familiar with since our ’92 debut classic Double Eclipse. We’ll get back to our children!”

    Steamhammer label manager Olly Hahn is also delighted with this successful coup and looks forward to a promising collaboration:
    “Obviously, there’s no need to explicitly go into Johnny Gioeli’s great qualities as a singer with Axel Rudi Pell, and he’s just as fantastic with his own band.
